KINGSWOOD PARTNERSHIP MANUFACTURING AND PRODUCT DESIGN
DIPLOMA STUDENTS HAVE A “COOL” EXPERIENCE

Kingswood Partnership Year 10 MPD Diploma students were visited by some of our business volunteers in a recent “Meet the Employer” event held at the Grange School.
We welcomed Tim Bullock from Cool4cats, a paper engineer, who designs, makes and sells papercraft automata kits.
Kinneir Dufort, an innovative design company, was represented by Duncan Shotton, a young designer, who answered questions about what it’s like working as a graphic designer and his own personal career pathway.
Paul Waring of Healthfare Trading Ltd and Chris Davis of the Unique Juice Company Ltd talked about their own companies, their joint business venture and their individual career journeys.
Katie Lovell, who teaches on the MPD Diploma at the Grange School, said: “It is the second year we have run this event and it seems to go from strength to strength. The input from the local business community was superb and the students thoroughly enjoyed meeting the individual company representatives – as well as getting a fantastic insight into different manufacturing and product design sectors.”
Year 10 Manufacturing & Product Design students discussed progression opportunities with Kinneir Dufort, Cool4Cats and Healthcare Trading
